Lecture 1.1 Purpose & Philosophy of the Professional Development Program

The Professional Development Program (PDP) was developed by Boston University’s Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation to allow the individuals to experience professional and personal growth in their knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation. The PDP distance learning options, including the self-paced Internet courses, allow individuals with any schedule to learn at their own pace during their own free time.

There is no educational prerequisite for taking the Professional Development Program options. Individuals with varied backgrounds and experience are welcome. Boston University’s policies provide for equal opportunity and affirmative action in employment and admission for all programs of the University.
