Courtney Joly-Lowdermilk, M.S.Ed. Directs Strategic Services Initiatives at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College at Boston University. She joined the Services Division at the Center team in 2014, and oversaw the development and direction of NITEO, and the College Mental Health Education Programs through 2021. For the last 17 years, Courtney been an instructor, director, and program developer in the fields of special education, disability and access services, and psychiatric rehabilitation. Her areas of interest and expertise include collegiate resilience, retention, and persistence as well as collegiate readiness and wellness and recovery for parents and families. Courtney co-authored seminal Guides on Taking a Health-Promoting Leave of Absence from College and co-developed and previously taught: PDP HE 102: LEAD BU: Building Wellness & Academic Skills for Success. She currently teaches: HUB CC 128: Belonging on Campus.
